Insider Exposure hosted their Thanksgiving Classic in Jacksonville, FL November 22-24 with top of the nation talent on display. Here are some of the standouts from the class of 2024.
Bri Rivera (Lake Highland Prep, FL) got in on the shooting action scoring from deep on back to back possessions regaining the lead for her team. Her shooting helped extend the lead for her team in the second half as she was one of the more consistent shooters competing in the event, and she certainly drove well to the basket getting by her opponents.
Lexi Blue (Lake Highland Prep, FL) was flying all over the court grabbing rebounds and immediately pushing it up for some fast break opportunities. She ran the floor setting herself up nicely as the trailer to score a jump shot. She made smart passes handling the ball on fast breaks dishing it off her to her teammates for their own points. She battled close to the basket scoring some old fashioned three point plays.
Madi Hawk (Lakeway Christian, TN) was all over the court on defense grabbing steals and pushing it the other direction, and she runs the floor well making sure she’s available for a transition pass to score some points. She battled through contact for some points, too. She showed off her ranged shooting from deep.
Brooke Suttle (Holy Innocents Episcopal, GA) came out hot in the second half against Pine Forest knocking down threes and running the floor easily for some points. Showing she was a three level scorer with speed, she certainly knew how to get the ball through the hoop. On defense, she made sure to cause problems for her opponents jumping into passing lanes to grab some steals.
Janessa Kelley (Blanche Ely, FL) had some sneaky cuts along the baseline getting open for some points. Her three point shooting was instrumental in keeping the game close against a tough Montverde team. She’s a true three level scorer already making waves in her short high school career so far.
Ya’Nija Lawson (Spruce Creek, FL) followed shots scoring her points from putbacks. She was an aggressive driver to the hoop, especially late in the game. She had some nice wrap around passes to her teammates for their own points. She really got up for rebounds making sure she was the only one who could reach them. She moved around her opponent on defense to block the entry pass.
Riley Talbert (Bishop Kenny, FL) had a nice jump shot she was able to show off after grabbing the offensive rebound. She was great at getting lost by her opponents making cuts to the hoop. Her putbacks were helpful in the 4th quarter battling in a close game. She was cutting in the lane finding the openings sneaking behind her opponents for some points.
