Fall Showcase

As I woke up the morning to drive to Murphy for the fall showcase I had to reflect back on the previous years showcase and how many great, talented Western North Carolina- Eastern Tennessee kids that I got to lay my eyes on. This year we had four states represented with a ton of talent from power 5 down to D2 and D3. Here’s some of the kids that I took a look at.

Natavia Alber 6”1 P 26 TN

Natavia is a very skilled post player for her age and can score over either shoulder. She runs the floor like a deer. Everyone needs to stay tuned to this kid. She’s going to be a big-time Prospect if she continues on this track.

Zuri goldsberry 5”7 CG 23 SC

Zuri is a kid that can score from multiple levels. She uses her athletic ability to guard at an elite level. Her ability to play passing lanes and rebound against bigger players will come in handy at the next level so definitely keep your eyes on.

Sydney Bowles 6” CG 22 GA

Sydney, what do I need to say? She was the best player in the gym today. She’s going to end up at a power 5 school, most likely in the ACC or SEC. She’s a total package, scores from all three levels, rebounds with the best of them and she’s a great teammate. I expect her to get some big accolades this year in her last season.

Courtney Davis 5”6 CG 24 GA

Courtney is a shooter that can do it off the bounce to catch the screen. Not only can she do that but she can also get her teammates involved and is tough as nails. College coaches listen, don’t be scared of the height. She’ll make up for it with heart.

Molly Burns 5”6 CG 24 NC

Molly is another good shooter as well. She’s not a kid that will jump off the page at you when you first watch her but once you hone in on her you will see all the little things she does. She is a person that helps make your team better. Definitely a kid I would get a look at in April.

Bailey Tidwell 5”4 CG 26 TN

Bailey has one speed and is one hundred percent all the time. She had no problem mixing it up with the older kids, knocking down her shot and will get to the basket and finish through contact. She’s definitely a kid to put on your list and keep watching.

Natalya Hodge 5”6 CG 26 TN

Natalya was an elite on-ball defender. She’s a kid that will pick it up full court on the offensive and she scores from all three levels. She can create space to get to the rack and also creates passing lanes for teammates to score. This kid has a bright future and definitely look forward to seeing her in the future.

Maliyah Glasper 5”5 CG 26 TN

Maliyah is a kid that is an elite scorer who creates space for shots and layups at will. She’s also a kid that doesn’t have to have the ball in her hand to be effective and understands great court spacing. I have a feeling her phone and mailbox are going to be filling up with tons of College contacts very soon.

Lailee Holloway 5”11 W 24 NC

Lailee is a kid that is super raw but it’s going to be really good. She dominated the boards during this camp against Elite athletes. She also doesn’t have a problem stepping out shooting a three or putting the ball on the ground to get to the rack. Definitely a kid I will keep my eyes on.

Alissa Cheek 5”6 CG 24 NC

Alissa is a kid I’ve seen off and on since she was in the fifth grade. This kid continues getting better, adding stuff to her game and correcting weaknesses. She was deadly from the three-point line and didn’t have a problem getting into the paint and finishing through contact. On the defensive end she picked up full court and picked a few kids pockets while doing it.

Desta Trammell 5”3 PG 23 NC

Desta was definitely the best floor General at the event. No question she can run your team college coaches. She was able to get everyone involved and also kill people that doubted her shooting ability. Coaches don’t be scared of the size. She doesn’t have a problem with mixing it up. Coaches she just needs a chance.
