Lady Attack National 2024 “The Future is Bright”ington (Wing, 5’6, 2023)

By Roekwan Holmes: @Unstoppable_23

This organization is based out of Charlotte, NC and they are extremely eager for the Insider Exposure League opportunity! This is their 3rd year of existence and the success rate is only going up. They believe in the original grassroots method of training and developing players. There is a step by step process when it comes to development. They build players up from 2nd grade all the way through high school.

This is a christian based organization. There is a big focus on doing things the right way. The goal is to have good morals, play with honor, a good attitude, and great effort. Lady Attack Elite wants to get their kids the right exposure and play against every type of competition.  Last year, 9 players from their 17U team committed to play college ball. They are defying the odds and becoming a solidified household name.

Next up is the LAE 2024 National team for Lady Attack. First up is Blanca Thomas (Post, 6’4, 2024)tatianabthomasiop@gmail.com  (704)543 0486, @blancathomas (Twitter), Charlotte Catholic HS.

Top 100 player in her class that holds multiple D1 Power 5 offers.  She is just starting to understand how good she is and more importantly how she has the ability to be great!!!  Even keel on the floor, but has a magnetic personality and kids love being around her.  Elite shot blocker and stays vertical and out of foul trouble. Runs the floor extremely well and beats both bigs and guards down the floor.  Has a really nice touch around the rim and very good footwork.  Plays the pick and roll game extremely well.  Has the ability to face up and knock down the jumper, but needs to continue to have confidence in that.  She has a nice mid-range game and will develop into a deep range shooter too.  She has the ability to beat you with her back to the basket, face up, score off the bounce and knock down a jumper.

High level D1 player that is arguably the top 2024 player in the State.

Delanie Hill (PG, 5’6, 2024)levins9201@gmail.com  (702)526-8070, @delanie_hill (Twitter),

Providence HS.

Might be the most skilled player in the program.  Plays with excellent pace and changes speed extremely well.  Can play in transition and can lead her team in a half-court set.  She plays well in traffic, can knock down the step-back, finish in multiple ways at the rim, has a floater game, and takes advantage of off-balance defenders.  She has worked hard over the past year to become a very good deep range shooter too.  She needs to continue to work on the speed of her release.  Sees windows and is an excellent facilitator and passer in the lane, transition and dribble drive kick.  Has an extremely high basketball IQ and the kid is always working and training.  As do most kids, she needs to continue on developing more strength and quickness, but she can flat out play.

D1 player

Olivia Burke (CG, 5’8, 2024)caburke21@yahoo.com   (585) 410-1518, @olivia_burke21 (Twitter), Porter Ridge HS.

Lefty with a lightning first step.  Plays in traffic extremely well and has a nice mid-range game.  Can play with the ball in her hands or off it.  Has a really good frame and can absorb contact.  She is a long 5’8 with long arms that allows her to get lots of steals and deflections. Has the quickness and instincts that allows her to be a menace on the ball defender.  Has good vision.  Has started to show some nice flashes from beyond the arc, and will be a very good deep range shooter, but needs to become more consistent.

D1 player.

Lili Booker (CG, 5’5, 2024). donitabooker@gmail.com  (704) 724-8567, @lilibooker2024 (Twitter), Providence Day HS.

Kid is a terror on D.  Harasses the ball, reads passing lanes, is aggressive and just disrupts the game.  For a smaller guard she finishes in traffic really well.  She is excellent in the open court and sees the floor well.  She has excellent quickness.  She can go from 1st to 5th gear in a blink of an eye.  To be an elite player she needs to become a more consistent shooter.  Her stroke is nice, but she needs confidence and repetition.  She has always been able to out-athleticism others so off course she leans on that.

Very High D2 player; could be D1

Gracynn Gough (Post/Stretch, 6’1, 2024). tgough@carolina.rr.com  (704) 965-6254, @gracynngough (Twitter), Charlotte Catholic HS

Just had a minor knee injury and missed her freshman season.  This kid is someone you want on your team.  Great kid that everyone loves and she works.  Works in practice, games, with trainers, on her own.  She eats and drinks basketball.  Has an excellent college frame and works hard everyday to develop that to be an elite athlete.  Has a high motor and listens extremely well. Coaches think she will be a stretch 4, as she is a very good shooter from beyond the arc.  She has excellent footwork and is extremely savvy around the rim.  She has a Jokic type of playstyle from the Nuggets.  She’s currently improving her quickness.

High Level D2; and probably a D1 kid

Sam Meyers (Wing, 5’6, 2024). amyjomeyers73@gmail.com  (704) 701 8399, @sam_meyers15 (Twitter), NW Cabarrus HS.

A wing that can knock it down off the bounce and catch and shoot.  Has worked hard to develop other aspects of her game.  Has a nice mid-range game.  Is a very good defender.  Kid works and works, loves the game and is always looking to get better.  Everytime she steps in the game she seems to be getting better.  Needs to continue to work on quickness and strength along with the ability to handle the ball.

D2 level player

Hannah Waddell (Wing, 5’7, 2024). (980) 234 3709, East Rowan HS

Another shooter.  Can shoot it off the bounce, but is an excellent catch and shoot kid.  Nice quick release.  Has the ability to attack the rim and finish too.  Has the tools to be an excellent player.  Is a super quiet kid, but plays with some physicality.  Solid defender.  Needs to be more aggressive on offense and develop other aspects of her game and get quicker.

D2 player

Kamryn Kitchen (CG, 5’7, 2025). beth.kitchen@yahoo.com  (704) 877 8272, @kamrynkitchen (Twitter), Sun Valley MS

She is the only player in the program that will play up this year. Per evaluators, she will be a 100 ranked player next season. She is extremely smooth and fluid on the floor. She has a flare to her game. Excellent ball handling and passing skills.  Is an elite finisher at the rim. Has worked hard to become a good deep range shooter. Has nice form and will be an excellent shooter. Is an athlete and has only been playing basketball for a few years. Gym rat that loves just playing and training. Good on ball defender that can harass the ball handler.  Needs to develop more as a team defender, but has an extremely high basketball IQ.  Needs to build out her frame some with strength training.

D1 player; possibly Power 5 kid.

Kate McArdle (G, 5’7, 2024). pmcardle@live.com   (704) 607-1008, Charlotte Catholic HS.

A glue kid that does the intangibles.  Excellent defender both on and off the ball.  Rebounds well for a guard.  Usually guards a wing, but can guard multiple positions on the floor.  Will get loose balls, pat kids on the back, and doesn’t care about the glory stuff.  Is a good catch and shoot player.  Needs to develop off the bounce and get quicker, but has a nice frame.

D3 player; potentially D2

Jerin Truesdale (Wing, 5’10, 2024). (980) 228-7808, Myers Park HS

A physical wing that is strong and has an excellent frame.  Attacks the rim well and finishes through contact.  Is getting impactful minutes as a freshman on a very good and deep Myers Park team.  Head down, downhill player that draws lots of fouls.  An aggressive defender that leverages her athleticism.  Can guard on the wing and in the post.  Needs to understand and learn more about team defense, but has the skill set to be an excellent defender.  She is a very good interior passer. Is an excellent offensive player, but to be elite she will need to develop a more consistent shot and learn how to change speeds.

D2 player

Chole Moss (Wing, 5’10, 2024). (704) 488-9177, Independence HS

Also a physical downhill player that finishes at the rim and through contact.  She is a match-up issue as she is typically too physical for guards and post players can’t guard her on the wing.  Plays with a very high motor.  Is excellent in transition and can play and guard multiple positions on the floor.  Has a good frame, but puts the time in training and should be a physical presence in the future.  Needs to become more of a consistent deep range shooter to be a next level player.
